Anything but Ordinary

Pretty productive day today - so much so that I'm pretty much achy all over. It was pretty much beautiful outside today - so I ran errands this morning, then came home and sprayed both outside and inside with ant/insect repellent as I'm hoping to prevent having ants in the house this year. Since I sprayed in the kitchen I gave it a good cleaning afterward, then back outside to clean up the tomato pots (had to pull out what was left of last years plants) and did some general clean up in the flower plant beds. It'll be another month before I can put this year's tomato plants outside but for now they're happily chilling in my living room.

Yesterday I went with my dad to see La Boheme - at the movies :) I've never been to see an opera and apparently The Met has this new program The Met Live in HD where you can see a live simulcast at the movie theatre. It was enjoyable but I'm not sure I'll ever be an opera lover.

We've finally come to Leanna's last week at work. She and I are going for dinner on Tuesday and then some of us are taking her out for drinks on Wednesday. She and I are planning to do dinner again when her fiance and his sister and her boyfriend arrive and then her wedding is the 26th. And then she'll be leaving for the UK. We've been talking about it for so long but its always seemed so far off and now her departure is right around the corner. I'm really going to miss seeing her at work everyday but I'm really happy for all the new things that are coming into her life. Plus we're already planning for me to come out and visit her and Alex in September after their move to Cardiff.

And now I'm off to take some painkillers and go to sleep
