May. 28th, 2009 08:13 pmSo in preparation for the Printer's Row Lit Fest (aka giant book fair) which is next weekend I'm finally getting around to cataloging all the books I got at the Humane Society sale. Came away with quite a nice haul for only $2

May. 17th, 2009 07:30 amSo my "new years resolution" of updating on a more regular basis was apparently made of fail.
I've had plenty of things to update about over the last few months and things just kept getting in the way (and it doesn't help that I can't access LJ at work where I do a lot of my internet stuff)
Plan is to update today - just not this morning :) I'm off to the Humane Society book sale today - $2 for a bag of books, like I could pass that up.

BSG 4x13 no spoilers

shipperchick and I have to watch it again before I'll be able to make a post with all my thoughts on the episode, there was just too much going on to process at one time. Basically if you looked at a chat transcript between us last night it would look a little something like this:
Shipper: OMG, OMG, OMG!!
Me: OMG, OMG, OMG!!
Shipper: But what does it mean!!
Me: Did you see that!! Ahhhh!
Us: They've all gone batshit insane! Wait! How is the episode over already!
Shipper: So.....I have to go to bed so I don't fall asleep while feeling up cadavers tomorrow
Me: Ok. Same time next week then.
Thoughts to come!

Dec. 22nd, 2008 08:51 pmNothing says its winter in Chicago like 2 snowstorms with in a few days of each other followed by the last 2 days of temps in the negatives with windchills between -15 and -30 and another snow/sleet storm expected to hit tomorrow night.
I want to be somewhere really, really, really warm right now.

In the middle of it all
Nov. 5th, 2008 12:50 amliterally, that's where I was tonight. I was standing in the middle of the ticket holder area of Grant Park with thousands of people watching us elect the next President of the United States. I will never in my life forget what that was like.
Yes, I took pictures and yes, I will post them and yes, I will make a more detailed post. But first I have to try and sleep for a few hours because unfortunately I still have to go to work today.

Trip Rundown
Oct. 5th, 2008 03:27 pmSo I arrived safely home last from my trip to the UK. Trip was
fantastic! Didn't see *everything* that there was to see but there
was soo much to be seen that it was just not possible to do it all in
one trip. Fortunately that just means I'll just have to go back for
another visit :)
Of course, I took a ton of pictures. I'm going to post the highlights
for each place in separate posts. For those who want to see everything
I took pics of all of the pictures can be found on my Flickr account.
They are currently organized into sets by place but nothing is tagged yet.
